When water bills jump or a tile turns warm, you don't want a plumber guessing where to break tile. We use the same listening gear and tracer gas equipment you'd see on a commercial loss-detection job — and we mark the leak inside an inch.
Methods we use
- Acoustic / electronic leak detection — amplifies the sound of pressurized water escaping. Best for slab leaks and supply lines.
- Tracer gas (helium / hydrogen mix) — pumped into the line at low pressure; we trace it out with a probe. Best for buried lines and slab leaks the acoustic gear can't pick up.
- Thermal imaging — finds hot-water slab leaks in seconds.
- Static pressure test — isolates supply, drain, and gas lines to confirm which one is leaking before we look anywhere.
- Camera scope for drain-line leaks.
When you should call
- Water bill spiked for no reason.
- Warm spot on the floor.
- Sound of running water with everything off.
- Mildew or staining at the base of a wall.
- Water meter dial spins with all fixtures off.
