Hydro jet vs. snake — what's the difference
A snake punches a hole through the clog and gets water flowing again. A hydro jet sprays high-pressure water through the line and scours the entire pipe wall — it removes the buildup that the snake just punched through. Snake is faster and cheaper for a single clog. Hydro jet is the right call for kitchen lines (grease scaling), main sewer lines (root mats), or any line that's clogged twice in the same year.
