About Darren
Darren grew up in the South Bay and has been swinging a wrench in it since the late 90s. After a decade with a larger plumbing outfit, he started JND in 1999 because he was tired of dispatchers padding bills and crews who’d never seen a Torrance ranch home before.
Twenty-five-plus years later, JND is still owner-operated. No phone bank. No commission-based estimates. The guy who shows up is the guy who quoted you, the guy who does the work, and the guy who comes back if anything isn’t right.
What we do
Full-service plumbing and drain across residential and small commercial in the South Bay of Los Angeles. We focus on the work most plumbing outfits hate — sewer line replacements through Torrance back yards, slab-leak repairs in 1950s tract homes, gas-line upsizes for tankless conversions, hydro-jetting commercial grease lines.

The way we price
Every estimate is in writing before we touch anything. Our pricing page lists the real ranges by service so you know roughly what to expect before you call. We don’t bill trip fees, weekend surcharges during normal hours, or stacked diagnostic fees on top of work we end up doing.
Service area
Torrance, Palos Verdes (all four Peninsula cities), Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, Marina del Rey, Hawthorne, Gardena, Lomita, San Pedro. Torrance is our home base.
Hours
Open 7 days a week, 8am–5pm. After-hours emergencies are case-by-case — when you call, you get Darren, not a switchboard.
